Are there bugs and mosquitoes?

Mosquitoes and other insects are generally manageable most of the year, with peak activity from July through October. We take natural measures to minimize their impact.

Important note: Our property is located in the jungle, so wildlife and various insects are present in the area. While most are harmless, there is one species of scorpion that can be dangerous. We rarely encounter issues with scorpions, but we advise all guests to take precautions such as checking shoes before putting them on and shaking out towels, blankets, and cushions.
